A state golf champion from Albemarle High School, Jack graduated from Georgia Southern University and has been a Master PGA Professional since 1996. His career includes leadership roles such as Director of Golf at Spring Creek and Glenmore Club. Since joining Cutalong Golf Club in July 2021, Jack has been dedicated to teaching golfers of all skill levels and sharing his love for the game. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family.

Jenn Weiland

Jenn grew up in Maine and found her passion for golf in high school. After training at the International Junior Golf Academy in Hilton Head, she earned a scholarship to Belmont Abbey College, where she played four years of golf and helped win three conference championships. She graduated with a degree in Sports Management and went on to help junior golfers earn college scholarships. Jenn later worked at Kiawah Island Golf Resort before joining Cutalong as Head Golf Professional in early 2024.

Sam Thomas
Lead Assistant Golf Professional

Sam is a lifelong golfer and 2021 Elon University graduate with a degree in Journalism. He is in the final stages of earning his PGA Class A Membership and is dedicated to player development, tournament operations, and delivering an outstanding member experience. Sam’s passion for the game is matched by his commitment to fostering growth and excellence in every golfer he works with. Outside of golf, he enjoys fishing, hiking, and spending quality time with his fiancée, Avery, and their dog, Jasper.

Jimmy Pierson

Jimmy brings a wealth of experience from top-tier courses, including Medinah Country Club in Illinois, where he prepared for the 2012 Ryder Cup, and Long Island National Golf Club in New York. With extensive expertise in maintaining championship-level bent grass greens, Jimmy specializes in delivering tournament-ready conditions while navigating diverse climates. A graduate of the Rutgers Professional Turfgrass Management Program, Jimmy resides with his wife and daughter. 

Shawn Noonan

With over 30 years of experience in the golf industry, Shawn has worked at clubs from Cape Cod to North Carolina. Most recently at Lee’s Hill in Fredericksburg, Shawn brings extensive knowledge to Cutalong Golf Club. A GCSAA member since 2008, Shawn enjoys spending time with his family and beta-testing PC games.

Alex, a Unionville native, studied landscape and turfgrass management at Virginia Tech, graduating in 2020. With eight years of industry experience, Alex has been with Cutalong Golf Club since March 2022. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf.

Born and raised in Louisa County, EJ graduated from Louisa High School in 2005 and joined Cutalong in 2019, playing a key role in the course grow-in. He enjoys coaching youth football and spending time with his son and daughter.

Chris Baird

Chris, a Fredericksburg native, spent summers on Lake Anna before earning a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management from George Mason University in 2018. During college, he gained experience in social media and marketing through the athletic department, later interning with the Portland Trail Blazers. Chris joined Cutalong Golf Club in 2020 while the course was still under construction. In his free time, he enjoys basketball, golfing, video games and spending time with friends and family.

Annie Malhotra
Development Manager

Annie Malhotra joined REEF in 2024. With over 10 years of experience in Real Estate and Marketing, Annie has demonstrated expertise in identifying and evaluating land development, managing development projects and successfully delivering profitable outcomes. Her skill set encompasses managing our vendors in marketing and sales, as well as managing projects, contracts, bonds and more. In her free time, she likes to travel, see concerts and hang out on the lake.

Meadow Sedwick 
Club Services Associate 

Meadow, a Charlottesville, VA, native, comes to Cutalong with five years of event coordination and member relations experience, most recently at Old Trail Golf Club. She now lives in Orange, VA, with her husband and their three dogs. In her free time, Meadow enjoys playing tennis, watching basketball and spending time on the water.

Taylor Gray
Marketing Associate

A local to the area, Taylor was born and raised in Virginia. She graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Marketing Management. In her free time, she loves to attend concerts, volunteer with rescues and discover creative outlets.

David Medina

Originally from Las Vegas, David spent the past 35 years in the Reno-Tahoe area. He studied at the University of New Mexico and the University of Nevada, Reno, and has spent most of his career in private F&B. His experience includes Wailea Gold Course in Maui and Montreux CC in Reno, with time in markets like Breckenridge, Lake Tahoe, Maui, Boston, Manhattan and San Francisco. David is married with four grown children and two grandsons.

Randy Epps
Executive Chef

Randy fell in love with cooking as a child in Richmond, watching his grandmother lovingly prepare meals from scratch. He earned a culinary degree from Baltimore International Culinary College and became a Certified Executive Chef through the American Culinary Federation. He has worked in five-star hotels, celebrity chef kitchens, international cruise lines, Fortune 500 companies and platinum private clubs. Outside the kitchen, he enjoys time with family and friends, fishing, swimming and relaxing by the water.

Originally from Kentucky, Kristy has called Virginia home for the past 28 years. She loves spending time with her family, especially on the lake—paddleboarding, boating and enjoying the outdoors together. When not on the water, you’ll often find her with friends and family on the golf course. Kristy earned both her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management and her Master of Education in Special Education and Teaching from George Mason University.

Amelia was raised in Manassas and recently relocated to Beaverdam, VA. She earned a Marketing degree from West Virginia University in 2024, where she also played club volleyball. Amelia joined the Cutalong team in June 2024.
